Q: Is there a fee to change and/or cancel my booking online?
There are no fees to change or cancel a hotel (room-only) reservation made on costcotravel.com unless you are within the hotel’s penalty period.
Q: How do I change/cancel my hotel reservation?
To make a change online:
Please check all cancelation penalties for any hotel bookings before canceling. The cancelation policy is located on your invoice in the “Room Category” section.
- Book and confirm a new reservation
- Cancel your previous reservation
To cancel online:
- Log into your Costco Travel account from the top menu bar
- Click on “Hotel Bookings”
- Select the booking you wish to cancel by clicking on the confirmation number or “View Booking”
- Near the top of the page, click “Cancel”
- Click “Yes” when the pop-up message asks to confirm cancelation
- Confirmation of your cancelation will be emailed to you
- Please note that canceled reservations cannot be reinstated.
Q: Why can't I find the hotel I'm looking for?
Check back regularly as our hotel selection is continually growing and evolving.
Q: Are taxes included in the price?
Shop confidently with upfront pricing that includes taxes.
Q: Does the price of my reservation include resort fees?
Yes, if the hotel (room-only) charges resort fees, they are included in the price, excluding all Las Vegas properties. Please note there may be additional costs paid directly to the hotel at the end of your stay, such as internet and parking fees, outside of the control of Costco Travel.
Q: Why do I see more than one promotion available during the booking process?
Often you’ll see more than one promotion offered simultaneously at a hotel. The package price may vary however the inclusions may or may not be the same. Such differences will be clearly stated below the promotion name. In all cases, your search will always default to the best value based on the dates you’ve selected.
Q: Why do I have to provide my Costco membership number?
The hotel program is offered as another service to your Costco membership. Our goal is to provide outstanding hotel value for our Costco members. Just like in a Costco warehouse, our hotel products offer brand names you recognize and trust.
Q: What information does Costco Travel share with the hotel upon booking?
Costco will share the following Traveler Information with its hotel (room-only) suppliers to complete your reservation: name, credit card information and billing address. By making a reservation, you consent to such sharing. Once shared, this information will be subject to the privacy policy of the respective supplier, not Costco's Privacy Policy.
Q: Is a credit card required to reserve my hotel?
A valid credit card is required to make a reservation. The credit card may be authorized or charged based on the deposit or payment requirements listed in the terms at the time of booking. The hotel is the merchant of record, and will be reflected on your credit card bank statement. A credit card guarantee may be authorized for payment within 24 hours prior to check-in. The balance owed on the reservation (if not prepaid) must be paid directly to the hotel at the time of checkout. Credit card authorization will be required upon check-in for room charges, taxes, deposit, applicable fees and incidentals. Changes, cancellations, and no-shows may result in fees or changes to the price and inclusions.
Q: Can I earn hotel loyalty points?
Room-only bookings are eligible for hotel loyalty program points with World of Hyatt. When you are in the Finalize Booking step, simply place your loyalty number in the field marked “World of Hyatt”.
Q: Do you have vacation packages or bundles?
We have vacation packages available for select destinations. Please click on Vacation Packages at the top of the page for more information.
Q: As an Executive Member, do I receive credit toward my annual 2% Reward?
For Executive Member purchases made directly from Costco Travel a 2% Reward will be applied after travel is completed. Travel purchases departing prior to September 1, 2017 are not eligible for the Executive 2% Reward. Excludes taxes, fees, surcharges, gratuities, trip protection, and portions of travel purchased through a third party such as activities, tours, baggage fees, upgrades, rental car equipment, resort charges, port charges, resort and cruise line fees, and similar extras.
